Our Story
About Tap Beer
The Tap Beer story began in 2011 on East 19th Street in Brooklyn — built on a simple passion for exceptional beer. After expanding to Avenue Z in 2016, we knew our community needed more than a bottle shop. They needed a place to sit down, eat well, and enjoy great beer together.
In 2017, we opened our doors at 1781 Sheepshead Bay Road — our most ambitious location yet. It was Tap Beer's first to offer a full food menu, pour beer for on- and off-premises enjoyment, and house a small working brewery on site. Today we pour our own Tap Beer Homebrews — Kölsch, Lagers, Cherry Beer — alongside world-class imports and American craft favorites.

Multiple screens indoors and out. Every major sporting event — hockey, soccer, UFC, NBA — broadcast live with sound on.
Expert Pours
Our staff knows beer inside and out. Always ready to walk you through the tap list and pour you a sample.
Live Entertainment
Jazz nights and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. A neighborhood bar with real energy.
